Design that looks right. Networks that stay up.

I'm one person: a graphic designer and a senior network engineer. I design brands and packaging, and I build and run the networks and websites a business depends on. Small shop, large company or agency, you work with me directly.

Where I've worked

I was on staff at each of these companies.

  • MCI Telecommunications
  • Inacom Information Services
  • Kiewit Offshore Services
  • Tyson Foods
  • J.B. Hunt
  • Microsoft
  • Facebook Latin America
  • TGI Fridays

And a lot of small and mid-sized businesses along the way.

The call center behind America's newspapers

I have built call centers from the ground up. One of them, in the early 1990s, was the third-party subscription customer service and the outbound sales and marketing center for every major newspaper in the United States.

I worked directly with the leaders of:

  • The Dallas Morning News
  • The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
  • The New York Times
  • Los Angeles Times
  • and many more.

Three things, done by the same hands

Brand and packaging

Logos and identity systems, label and package design, and files that are ready to print. Built in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Print production

Network engineering

I design, build and run networks for small offices and homes. Linux first, with remote access that never leaves a door open to the internet.

  • Linux
  • Tailscale
  • Cloudflare

Web operations

I run WordPress sites on managed hosting, with Cloudflare in front for speed and protection. I handle the domain settings, email delivery and backups, and I fix it when something breaks.

  • WordPress
  • Cloudways
  • DNS

One desk, both jobs

I'm Peter Solomon. Before RKS Studio I worked on staff at the companies above and built call centers from the ground up. I design brands and packaging, and I have spent decades building and running Linux systems and networks. You get one person who can draw the label and fix the network.
